The Best Bitcoin/Crypto (Software) Wallets Everyone Must Have
Pros: beginner friendly, ability to add funds from within the wallet. Established and respectable company. Using Coinbase is a good experience but it is advisable to use their vault service, that way you’re responsible for your own bitcoins.
Cons: Company has some control over your funds (depends if you’re using Vault). Exchange not supported in Ghana (yet) but it is still possible to use the wallet.
Coinbase also runs a referral program when someone you refer signs up and buys or sells $100 of bitcoin or more, you'll both earn $10 of free bitcoin.
Supported coins: BTC, ETH
Exodus is a relatively new wallet (launched July 2016) that allows you to store not only Bitcoins but also Litecoins, Dogecoins, Dash, Golem and Ether. It’s unique in its beautiful design and intuitive user interface. It has Shapeshift (a popular crypto to crypto exchange) integrated and allows you to trade cryptocurrencies from within the wallet. Currently the wallet is available only in a desktop version.
Pros: Easy to use, allows to trade cryptos from within the interface, self-hosted, awesome support from the founders.
Cons: Limited only to desktop at the moment, relatively new company. (see also Jaxx Wallet)

Pros: Blockchain is probably the most popular wallet today. The Company has had a solid reputation for security and its wallet is simple has great features. Wallet was updated in early 2016 to add extra security by not using addresses twice
Cons: The Company stores your wallet on their servers which involves third party risk.

Paxful is similar to Local Bitcoins. You choose the amount of Bitcoins you want to buy and your payment method. Use caution with P2P(PEER TO PEER) Exchanges
With P2P(Escrow exchanges), some people mistake the platform’s integrity for the seller’s integrity. There’s active support on Services like Localbitcoins, Remitano and Paxful were you can ask any question, USE IT. Make sure that the user that you are trading with is online. ESCROW PROCESS IS MEANT TO PROTECT YOUR BITCOIN TRADE. IF SELLER/BUYER INSISTS TO DEAL WITH YOU VIA EMAIL OR ANYTHING OUTSIDE THE ESCROW PLATFORM, DON’T, THEY ARE LIKELY SCAMMERS. Don’t release the payment from escrow unless you have fully received your payment (CONFIRMED). No matter what website, DONT SEND IT if you cannot afford to lose that money. Sure, there may be users on Escrow Exchanges trying to scam you. But this is true for every other Peer to Peer marketplace out there like Tonaton, OLX, eBay etc.
Remitano (Recommended in Ghana)
Remitano is an escrow service much like localbitcoins that allows you to buy Bitcoin safely using Online Banking, Mobile Money, Bank transfer and Cash deposit. When you open a trade, the specified amount of bitcoins you wish to buy are transferred from the seller's wallet and held locked on Remitano's escrow service. You can send payment to the seller without worry of not receiving Bitcoin. Bitcoin are locked in escrow until seller confirms the payment. Active support team will resolve any problems, based on evidence provided by both sides.
An escrow service that helps match Bitcoin buyers and sellers. Much like Paxful and Remitano above. Allows you to buy Bitcoin safely using Online Banking, Mobile Money, Bank transfer and cash deposit.
CoinMama is a bitcoin broker that enables purchasing bitcoins/ethereum with credit or debit cards. Fees are about 10% with limits of about $5,000 per day and $20,000 per month. After verification, bitcoins are received within a few minutes.
